OOTD

I've been itching to post some stuff and just haven't had time! Now that I have a moment to spare, here's what I wore today!

Button Up Shirt: RVCA__I adore this shirt of mine. I've had it for a few years and I wear it almost every chance I get. It's great too because it's pretty long so I can wear it with leggings too. It's made out of a really light material that looks like denim but isn't. I love this because you can throw it on over almost anything. It's perfect for cool summer/spring nights. The shirt also has roll up tabs inside the sleeves and which put the sleeve length above the elbow which is nice when it's a bit warmer outside. I didn't realize how versatile this shirt was. Falling in love all over again!

White V-Neck: Victoria's Secret PINK__ These are by far my favorite v-neck t-shirts that I have found. I have so many! I love them because they are long and fit really nicely. They also have really awesome colors. These are definitely my go to basic t's. I can't get enough.

Jeans: American Eagle Outfitters__ I love American Eagle jeans... not as much as Levi's but I will wear the shit out of AE jeans. That's not a joke, either. I wore my last pair until a giant hole developed in the crotch area. I love that most of them are pretty stretchy and forgiving. We all need a little forgiveness sometimes, right?! I love the way these jeans fit me and I will always have at least one pair of AE jeans in my closet.

Now, onto the shoes. God, I love shoes.

Moccasins: Minnetonka__ I have been wearing moccasins for as long as I can remember. That's no joke, either. My dad and grandma are all about Native American shit and they passed down that love to me. I seriously have worn through so many pairs of these, it's not even funny. I also am the proud owner of these, but with a soft sole, and I grew up in these. Looking at that website, I can see plenty of things I need to get my feet on. HA!

Who's ready for jewelry?

I got this necklace on a trip to Oregon with the fam a few years ago. I can't even remember what city or what kind of store I bought this in. I wear it a lot because it goes with everything and it's just something really subtle that can help to make my outfit come together.

This bracelet belonged to my great grandmother. I also have a thumb ring that matches it. I wear this a lot. It's the bracelet that sits on my dresser and I throw it on as I'm rushing out the door, no matter what I'm wearing.

This ring was my grandma's. About once a year, she lets me pick out a piece of her jewelry that I want. This ring was the first thing I ever picked out and It's one of my all time favorite pieces. I absolutely adore this ring. Something especially great about it: it has earrings and a beautiful watch to match. I am now the proud owner of the full set and I am so happy about that.

This one was also my grandma's. It's the PERFECT pinky ring, in my opinion. I wear this one quite often as well. I have two stories about this ring.

First story, one of my dad's english bulldogs got a hold of it and chewed it up to the point where it was bent every which way. I thought I had lost it until I found a crumpled mass of metal and stone on the living room floor. I freaked the fuck out, took it the local rock shop in our tiny town and they fixed it right up for me. Such a relief. They even shined it. It used to be a bit dingy with age, which I didn't mind but it looks fabulous all shined up as well.

Second story, my grandpa bought this for my grandma when my dad was a baby. Grandpa worked overnight at a gas station in Vegas where they sold all types of handmade Native American jewelry. One night, my grandpa, being the sweet man that he is, brought this dainty little ring home to my grandma, and boy am I glad he did.

If you can't tell, I'm a HUGE fan of vintage Native American jewelry. I'm so happy that my grandma is too and is willing to give me her entire collection... over time, of course. I'm one lucky girl. The fact that most of my jewelry belonged to my family is the best thing about it. They aren't just pieces I bought at random shots, they have sentimental value and you just can't beat that.

Anyways, Hope you enjoyed this post.

Til next time,

B
